Humidification for graphics industry
Many disruptions, breakdowns, and paper-jams in the graphics industry are caused by low humidity. Dry air allows static electricity to build-up, which causes sheets of paper to stick together or to the equipment.
Avoid production losses with the correct humidity
CAPACITY
Paper is very susceptible to over dry air. If the humidity falls under 40% static electricity starts to build up. This causes paper to develop a static electrical charge, resulting in feeder trip-offs, poor sheet jogs in the delivery, print voids, and ink offset. Whole stacks of paper may become completely unusable.
The correct humidity increases the production capacity, and this applies to prepress, CTP, offset and web presses. A relative humidity of between 40% and 60% will prevent many of these problems and paper malfunctions.
Minimise the risk of static electrical build-up.
Prevent your paper from sticking and distorting
Increase productivity by reducing the downtime of the machines
A pleasant environment free from static shocks
COMFORT
An added advantage of the right humidity is the improved comfort for the staff. A proper humidity level reduces the build up of static electricity and prevents all those annoying, and sometimes painful, static shocks.
And an extra bonus – in warm weather the humidification system even provides a cooling effect.
Cumulus significantly reduces production losses
